The 36th Annual TxAPA Annual Meeting was held last week at the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas. As always, the meeting was extremely informative, and the attendance this year was one of the largest ever. The Technical Sessions were some of the best I have seen, not only at this conference, but at any conference I have attended during my transportation career.

We are once again approaching the dates for the Hot Mix Asphalt Center proficiency programs. Beginning with this year, the soils proficiencies will have the same dates and deadlines as the hot mix proficiency program. If your certified technicians hold both soils and hot mix certifications, they will be required to perform both these tests.
