Upcoming TxAPA Marketing Efforts

In an effort to provide positive exposure for our industry, and to fend off misinformation being distributed by the concrete paving industry, TxAPA will be participating in four tradeshows/conferences this month.

We will be attending the 88th Annual County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas Educational Conference on October 4-7 in Waco. This is a great opportunity to get together with fellow judges and commissioners from across the state. The exhibit show, with a variety of companies offering services and products for counties, is an integral part of the conference. Monday afternoon is scheduled for dedicated time with vendors. Come by booth number 112 to visit TxAPA Staff!

Visit TxAPA at the 2010 TML 98th Annual Conference and Exhibition on October 26-29 in Corpus Christi. The 2010 TML Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held at the American Bank Center, located at 1901 North Shoreline Boulevard in Corpus Christi. Nearly 300 vendors will be available at this Annual Conference and Exhibition to showcase solutions and goods.  TxAPA's booth number is 316.

The 2010 Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Short Course will be the 84th such meeting, and will once again will be held on the Texas A&M University campus. TxAPA is proud to be a part of this long-standing record of collaboration and cooperation. This year's meeting will be held October 12-13. TxDOT planners and their TTI colleagues have developed an excellent program, and we are confident the conference will be of value to all who attend.

The last, and final, show scheduled for October will be held Wednesday, October 20 through Thursday, October 21.  TxAPA plans to attend the 27th Annual AGC of Texas Trade Show & Market Symposium.  TxAPA's booth number will be 35.

At each of the Tradeshows/Conferences that we will be attending, we will be handing out the "Educational Tool Kit."  As you may or may not know, the Tool Kit contains various articles, white papers, brochures, etc from TxDOT, the APA, NAPA and TxAPA that help deliver our message that asphalt is a smooth, durable, sustainable, recyclable and economical product.  Due to green initiatives around the country, a good portion of the items in the Tool Kit will emphasize the sustainable and recyclable benefits of asphalt.

If you know of any other trade shows or conferences that could be good opportunities to get our message out please let Harold Mullen or David Kopp know.
