The TAPPI Standards regulations require public review of standards that are up for ballot. Send a message to standards@tappi.org if you want to request a copy of the draft in ballot. If you would like to participate in the SSIGs that review and vote on the Standards, please contact TAPPI Standards Department at standards@tappi.org.

The date when the Work Item was opened is shown for each TIP, as well as the Subject Category under which the TIP is assigned and the Working Group Chair's (WGC) name. The target completion date for the review of each TIP is one year after the opening of the Work Item.

New Staff at TAPPI Standards Department
Nakia Bates has just joined the TAPPI Team to give support to the Standards Department. Nakia is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee and has been in Georgia about 4 years. She has 3 years of experience in the distribution industry of paper and corrugated packaging. Nakia has a happy mood and is always seen with a smile on her face. Her favorite motto is: “Have a Great Day on Purpose!”

Proposed New Standards and TIPs
The scope of the proposal for a new Technical Information Paper is shown below, as well as the title of the new proposal, the assigned Subject Category and the name of the Working Group Chair (WGC). 0425 - Yankee Dryer Safety and Reliability This Technical Information Paper (TIP) is intended for basic creping doctor inspection and set up guidelines. Proper inspections and maintenance will lead to increased reliability by reducing the possibility of Yankee surface damage and inconsistent operations.
