Registration for the 2025 Summer Policy Committee Meetings is now open. Attend the meeting(s) of your choice to recommend Policy Priorities for the association to focus on for the next legislative session. Committee recommendations will be considered by the ACCG Policy Council before heading to the full membership for a vote during the Legislative Leadership Conference.
  
Get ready to hit the road for the ACCG Mobile Classroom this fall. The Mobile Classroom will provide an action-packed look at the future of power in Georgia and how competing needs for industry, economic development, AI, and more impact your community. Due to limited capacity only one registrant per county can attend.

The deadline to apply for the ACCG Group Self-Insurance Worker's Compensation Fund (ACCG-GSIWCF) Employee Safety Grant is Friday, August 29. This program is intended to provide financial assistance to members for the purpose of reducing employees’ work-related injuries.
  
The 2026 Georgia County Internship Program (GCIP) Grant Application opens this month. The ACCG Civic Affairs Foundation annually awards GCIP grants to fund internship projects exclusively for the summer in counties across the state. 
  
The 2026 Salary Guide for county officials is now available. This guide is designed to assist counties in determining the salaries of certain county officials.

The 1st Annual Law Enforcement Risk Specialist (LERS) Conference will be held September 30– October 1 in LaGrange, Georgia (Troup County). This 2-day event will feature Georgia litigation attorneys and law enforcement professionals to discuss issues relevant to insurance defense, social media use, Supreme Court trends, and more.

A special declaration and certification form for landowners seeking tax relief from Hurricane Helene's impact is now available. This form allows Georgia taxpayers to claim temporary relief from ad valorem taxes on eligible standing timber for the last quarter of 2024 and any quarter of 2025.

The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) has opened the application period for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Disaster Supplemental Grant Program. Counties can apply through three distinct pathways: Readiness, Implementation, and Industry Transformation, with awards ranging from $250,000 to $50 million.
