The board of directors of the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) unanimously selected a new slate of officers, including Dr. John Allen Newman as chairman, during its regular meeting on June 22. Each will serve each serve a one-year term starting July 1, 2015. Don Goldberg is joining the Port of Portland (OR) as general manager of business development. He will manage industrial business development and real estate marketing. David McFadden has been appointed managing director of the economic development division at the Port of Seattle. His responsibilities will include recruiting and retaining businesses, especially in the aviation, manufacturing and maritime sectors.

The Port of Portland Commission on June 25 adopted the fiscal year 2015-2016 budget, which forecasts moderate revenue increase in all business lines, supports capital improvements for facilities serving customers, and maintains existing infrastructure. Total port operating revenues and operating expenditures are budgeted at $295 million and $190 million, compared to the FY 2015 adopted budget of $261 million and $181 million.
