Over 200 people attended the 2016 SCAPA Summer Conference/50th Anniversary Celebration at the beautiful Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia last month.

On July 23, 2016, during the SCAPA 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Greenbrier Resort, SCAPA members watched a video tribute highlighting the association’s history and all those who have played a role in SCAPA’s success throughout the years.

Holder, Padgett, Littlejohn, and Prickett, LLC, was approved for associate membership by the SCAPA Board of Directors. Holder, Padgett, Littlejohn, and Prickett is a law firm that provides legal services on behalf of the construction industry.

Sanders Brothers Construction Company is headquartered in North Charleston, SC, with plant locations in North Charleston and Summerville. Their operations cover Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, and Dorchester Counties.

The SC Chapter of the American Public Works Association held their annual conference in Greenville, SC earlier this month.

SCAPA attended and participated in a roundtable discussion at the summer meeting of the State Asphalt Pavement Associations in Des Moines, Iowa August 7-10, 2016. There were 32 state asphalt pavement associations represented at the meeting in Des Moines.

Earlier this month, representatives from the SC and Georgia Asphalt Pavement Associations met with a postdoctoral researcher from Norway.

Next month in Columbia, SCAPA kicks off the next series of Pavement Design Guide seminars.
