SAPA Executives Meet in Des Moines, Iowa

SCAPA attended and participated in a roundtable discussion at the summer meeting of the State Asphalt Pavement Associations in Des Moines, Iowa August 7-10, 2016. There were 32 state asphalt pavement associations represented at the meeting in Des Moines.
During the meeting, SAPA executives discussed ongoing issues in each asphalt pavement association around the country and also received reports from the National Asphalt Pavement Association, the Asphalt Institute, and the Asphalt Pavement Alliance. Some of the issues discussed were: workforce/leadership development, building a training program, ethics in construction, Iowa asphalt initiatives, and updates on the Pavement Economics Committee research and initiatives.
SAPA executives will meet again at the NAPA Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL in January 2017.
