"Thanks for the memories," ... but, more than that, THANKS for the participation and support of so many of our TMRA Members and Friends for an absolutely fantastic 2019 TMRA Annual Meeting at the Hotel Galvez!

As incoming chairman for TMRA, I consider it a privilege to work with those that make up the TMRA Team. This organization could not succeed and accomplish our mission if not for the dedicated individuals who work diligently to make things happen!
Features
This past summer I was lucky to be chosen to attend the TMRA Industrial Minerals teacher workshop based out of Round Rock. During the workshop, we took a trip to Martin Marietta’s Hunter Cement Plant, where we did everything that the students would soon do. This trip planted the seed in me to take my students to the plant so they could experience what I did.

Safety

METAL/NONMETAL MINE FATALITY – A miner fell from a man basket when the weldment securing the basket to the shovel failed. The miner fell and died of his injuries on June 27, 2019.
Recruitment and Hiring

This article first ran in 2018, but it seems appropriate to rerun it around Veterans Day this year. We should never forget our vets and what they’ve given up to serve our country. Hiring them is one small way to say "thank you."
Technology

Electric vehicles are increasingly seen by mining operators as an effective way to not only slash a facility’s carbon footprint, but to also improve site safety.
