Executive Director's Message: Successful 2019 TMRA Annual Meeting!

“Thanks for the memories,” … but, more than that, THANKS for the participation and support of so many of our TMRA Members and Friends for an absolutely fantastic 2019 TMRA Annual Meeting at the Hotel Galvez!

I am no longer amazed by the great support with attendance, sponsorships, auction goods and services and those that made the auction itself, including our growing “Sponsor-a-Teacher” opportunity, once again a resounding SUCCESS! Not amazed now so much as just so THANKFUL for the dedication to our industries and communities. Thankful once again to our TMRA Leadership, including our Board, Officers, Executive Committee, Committee Chairs and Members. While ALL join in whenever and wherever needed, this particular event is ONLY possible because of the work of Cathy Pierce and her entire Annual Meeting Planning Committee. Whether working with our Hotel, on Golf or Fishing…..or whatever, lining up speakers, coordinating our Fun Night, reaching out to those who might support our Auction with goods, services AND BIDS, or in many other ways making sure the event is up, running and successful, rest assured that our Volunteers and the support of those for whom they work, is critical and, it seems, ALWAYS there when we need them the most.

Our lineup of speakers, including our once again informative and engaging Legislative/Agency Panel, were all on point. Our Fun Night recognition of our Legislators of the Year, with Rep. J.M. Lozano able to be present, reflects on our values and support for those that are open and work WITH us for Texas, our jobs and economy, our communities and, for sure, our health and the environment. We are and should be proud of what we do and how!

Our TMRA TEAM is, in a word, INCREDIBLE! You’ll see in this issue input, feedback and some photos showing both the FUN and the Success from this year’s event. I hope you’ll read and enjoy, pass along to co-workers and friends. I once again invite you to reach out to others that should be TMRA Members. I also invite and encourage you to Support our Teachers and Workshops AND engage with our timely and VERY relevant presence on Social Media. Bless you all and THANKS!
