Dec 2020

Despite the postponement of Coatings+ 2021 until December 13-16, 2021, we are still accepting nominations for the Women in Coatings Impact Award through December 18, 2020.

Dec 2021

Over the past couple of months, leaders at SSPC and NACE have deliberated over the most appropriate path forward for SSPC's Coatings+ 2021 conference scheduled to be held in Phoenix, AZ this coming February. It became apparent that attempting to hold the event at the same standard we have in the past in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is just not feasible, nor would it be safe for our members, attendees, or staff. Because of this we have decided to postpone the conference until December 13-16, 2021.

Aug 2022

Similarly to Coatings+, leaders at SSPC as well as the Department of Defense mutually agreed to postpone the 2021 DoD-Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will still be held in Tucson, AZ, with new dates of August 8-11, 2022.

Chapter Corner

On Wednesday, September 16, the SSPC Gulf Coast Chapter held a Virtual Panel Discussion. The topic was “The Current Economic State of the Oil & Gas Industry + Impact of COVID-19.”

A member-led integration team comprised of SSPC and NACE members is working with staff from both organizations to provide recommendations to the Steering Committee that has oversight for all merger integration activities and efforts. Until those recommendations are finalized and approved, all current

SSPC Chapters should continue their operations as normal.
