The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) announced the postponement of The Sprayfoam Show. Originally scheduled for February 2021, the alliance has moved the annual event to February 28 - March 3, 2022.  The largest annual convention and trade show in the U.S. dedicated to Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF), The Sprayfoam Show brings together industry participants in insulation, roofing, specialty applications, and related equipment for educational sessions, a robust exhibits hall, the SPFA Professional Certification Program, an annual Golf Tournament, VIP events, and an entertainment-filled Close-Out Event Party. The 2022 event will be held in San Antonio, Texas.

On September 30, 2020, Dr. Heinz Bijoy Prosad Gupta (*1932 in Calcutta, India) passed away in Ratingen, Germany, at the impressive age of 88. He founded his publishing house in 1993. For many years he was editor-in-chief of GAK Gummi Fasern Kunststoffe and until 2019 publisher of various national and international specialist journals for the rubber, polyurethane and TPE industries.

In September, the Associated Builders and Contractors’ Construction Confidence Index decreased from 53 to 51.3 for sales expectations; 47.8 to 44 for profit margin expectations; and remained at 54.4 for staffing levels.

As the Occupational Safety and Health Administration plans to release citations stemming from COVID-19-related inspections, it has changed its policy so inspectors’ citations for employers no longer will immediately be available to the public on request, according to Bloomberg Law.
