Please join us for the 2022 SCAPA Winter Conference & Trade Show on February 9-10, 2022. We are excited to be able to gather in-person once again at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. We will kick off the conference with a the SCAPA Trade Show Reception, on Wednesday evening, February 9, followed by a full agenda on February 10. Registration is Now Open for attendees and sponsors.
The PAVE Committee met earlier this month to elect its first Executive Committe. They also discussed the roles each member would play. Congratulations to our new Executive Commitee Members: Paul Edwards, Lauren Cosper, Britton Reissner and Zach Michaels.
Partners in Quality (PIQ) is a partnership program between SCAPA's Producer Members and the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), typically held annually in the winter. SCAPA's members will co-host the seven Partner in Quality Meetings in SCDOT districts throughout the state.

The competitive environment contractors are facing has encouraged the asphalt pavement industry to consider using recycled products such as reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP), ground tire rubber (GTR), and reclaimed asphalt shingles (RAS) in their mixtures. While products like GTR serve as an asphalt modifier easing the industry’s dependence on the supply of polymers such as styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), RAS and RAP allow contractors to replace both aggregate and asphalt in mixtures with materials previously produced and/or used for another purpose.
