The August 2015 U.S. sanitary paper price index dropped to its lowest level since February 2011, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics.
 
The downward trend of the index has partly been the result of lower prices for hardwood chips, in U.S. dollar terms, imported to Japan from Australia, Chile, and South Africa.

The Amica Unica line is a further evolution of the Amica Matrix concept. The new machine design is based on the innovative rewinding concept, Dual Geometry, a variable system that allows the user to convert any kind of rolls from 90 to 350 mm on diameter.
 
New line will have a nominal capacity of 70,000 metric tpy, for an estimated cost of some EUR 120 million. Included in the costs is equivalent converting capacity. The project expands the Portrucel Group’s global tissue production capacity to 130,000 metric tpy.
 
Renova is the first tissue producer in Europe to invest in Valmet's Advantage NTT tissue technology for the production of textured and plain tissue products. In addition to the Advantage NTT machine, Valmet will also provide the automation system for the new tissue line.
 
In addition to the previously announced Valmet Advantage NTT tissue machine, Resolute has committed to purchasing the new Futura Andromeda converting technology and Infinity packaging solution.
 
Liuzhou Liangmianzhen Paper Product Co., China, has brought its second edition of the tissue machine on line at its mill in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China.
 
The new and innovative converting plant is now fully operational with two active production lines: the first line is focused on toilet tissues, while the second line can produce both kitchen towels and toilet tissues.
