Darraidou to Head CMPC’s Tissue Operations

 

Gonzalo Darraidou will join Empresas CMPC, Chile, December 1 to head its tissue operations. Darraidou will resign his management of Chile-based Forus to take the new job. Tissue represents approximately 40% of Empresas CMPC’s annual sales, with revenues totaling $906 million in the first half of 2015.

CMPC has tissue operations in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Mexico. Thois past August, the company announced a new $139 million tissue mill in Cañete, Peru. The project’s first stage will be a tissue paper converting line, followed by a second-stage 54,000 metric tpy tissue machine, to startup by the end of 2018.
