NRMCA's Halsted Appointed to Key Transportation Research Board Committee

NRMCA Senior Director, Local Paving, Greg Halsted recently accepted an invitation to become a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Concrete Pavement Materials. The committee is concerned with research and innovation related to the selection, proportioning, testing, characterization, modeling, design and production of cementitious materials, concrete and their additives to improve performance, durability and quality control. TRB standing committees are responsible for various tasks that contribute to the advancement of proper transportation practice, including proposing and sharing research, sponsoring workshops and symposia while keeping the transportation community informed and engaged with the latest developments and challenges in the field. Halsted’s three-year term as a committee member will help ensure that ready mixed concrete continues to be properly positioned and discussed as the material of choice for our nation’s pavements.
