What's New Nationally
Charlotte, N.C., housing code states that landlords can’t collect rent on apartment homes that are in violation of building codes. On March 8th and 9th NAA will host its annual Capitol Conference and bring before Congress some of our most important issues. I say some because there are of course many, many concerns about which we would love to bend a Representative or Senator’s ear. To really be effective, however, we have to hone in on a couple of topics.

Joe Scarborough, former member of Congress and current host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, will deliver the keynote address at the Capitol Conference at 3:15 p.m. on March 8. The following day, NAA members will visit congressional offices with the goal of reaching all 535 on Lobby Day.
