OSHA, an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor, has proposed a rule that would eliminate the requirement that employers with 250 or more employees electronically report detailed information about their workers' injuries and illnesses, according to a July 30 notice in the Federal Register.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority has awarded a $144 million design-build contract to Cincinnati, Ohio-based Messer Construction for a new terminal parking garage and an airport administrative office building, just one piece of the airport's $1.2 billion BNA Vision expansion initiative.
 
Construction CEO confidence trends a little lower than the responses from CEOs on a national scale, according to peer-to-peer membership and executive coaching organization Vistage's Q2 2018 CEO Confidence Index Survey. Construction executives generally reported more optimism when it came to hiring expectations for the coming year and their views of the economy in the past year tended to be more positive.

Businesses who received the Economic Census but have not yet responded are receiving past due notices from the U.S. Census Bureau with instructions on how to comply and get assistance. CDC Fab Co. today announced the finalization of its purchase of Conwed Designscape | Wall Technology, the industry leader in custom-designed acoustic solutions, from Owens Corning. With the acquisition, CDC Fab will now operate under the Conwed Designscape name.
 
AD, the contractor and industrial products wholesale buying / marketing group, reported a 13% increase in Member sales, across 12 AD divisions, totaling $20.1 Billion through the first six months of the year. Purchases from AD Suppliers also grew by 13% YTD.
