Although the present pandemic has curtailed some board activities such as conferences and face to face meetings, we still have to pay our management company, textbook printer and other vendors. We are still in a good financial position, aiming to end the year in the black.

This year has certainly been a very busy one as far as education goes! Due to unpredictable difficulties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the provincial board voted to give the students who were registered in the last MDRAO MDR Techniques Online Course a one-month extension to finish their course and write their exam. I ended my last newsletter report in February: 2020 promises to be an interesting year for Lambda; big plans, big hopes & long drives. Well it sure isn’t turning out that way. The pandemic caused the April Lambda meeting to be cancelled because my hospital turned all the OTN rooms into patient rooms.

Greetings from the Delta Chapter These are unprecedented times. Like so many other things, this pandemic has affected the activities of the Delta Chapter. We had to abandon all of our meetings. The nominations closed but elections have been delayed and will be held as soon as possible. Whenever possible, given the circumstance the newly acclaimed executive will meet. We will do our part to ensure that everyone is safe. Thank you for all of your hard work on the front lines during this pandemic. The extent of the effects of the pandemic have highlighted the importance of our association in setting standards for the highest level of need for products and procedures in our field. Stay Safe. Hello from Gamma These past few months have been very stressful for the MDRTs in our region! The regular workload has decreased a lot, and many of our casual employees have been redeployed in other departments. Some of us temporarily went to help the housekeeping department in keeping our hospitals clean. Others were assigned special projects like decontaminating N95 masks, cleaning and disinfecting face shields, filling Purell bottles, filling accel wipes containers, and disinfecting stretchers.
