Schedule Released for AACS Annual Convention
This year’s "Help Us Plan Annual" membership survey gave the planning committee tons of great ideas—many of which were integrated into the agenda. The schedule has been released and is full of exciting receptions, open-discussion classes and a variety of educational sessions for owners, directors, compliance, marketing and admissions staff. With specialty workshops and the Expo Hall open all day on Saturday, you’ll notice subtle changes that will make a big impact. Sunday night will include a Roaring ’20s Party for attendees and exhibitors to dance the night away! Register now.

 

Renew Your AACS Membership, Deadline Sept. 30
AACS has a universal renewal date of September 30 each year for all member schools and associates. We are proud to announce a huge percentage of our membership has already renewed for the 2014-2015 year! Continue to take advantage of AACS benefits and renew your membership if you haven’t done so already. We’ve created a page where you can renew your membership one of seven ways. Renew by clicking here. (Note: Invoices have also been mailed if you wish to renew directly after receiving your invoice.)

 

Deadline Extended for Excellence in Education
Modern Salon’s Excellence in Education deadline has been extended to Friday, September 12. If you’ve already started your application, or even if you haven’t, it’s not too late to complete it. If you’ve been a past Excellence in Education honoree, you know how rewarding it is to be showcased for your special accomplishments. Educators: 12 Hours of Methodology Training in Phoenix
For the first time ever, there will be educator training in conjunction with the AACS Annual Convention this year. Sunday and Monday of the event (November 16 & 17) will include 12 hours of methodology training for $149. This includes breakfast and lunch served each day and access to the Exhibitor Showcase. The sessions, which will be taught by CEA Chair Carol Woodard, include:

 

  • Out With the Old & In With the New (Embracing 21st century teaching methods to make your classes relevant and exciting)
  • It’s Not the Content—It’s Your Delivery! (Engaging and motivating your class even during those "boring" chapters)

Beauty Change Lives

Full Nail Scholarships, Deadline on Monday
Does your school have a nail program? Do you have students who started on or after July 14th of this year or prospects who will be starting classes before January 11, 2015? If you answered YES then those students are eligible to win 100% of their tuition (up to $5,000).
