The first VTCA-VDOT Quarry Summit was held at Luck Stone’s Rockville Quarry in Richmond where nearly 35 VDOT personnel learned about quarry processing and the importance of product balance.

VTCA has been aggressive convincing legislators cutting the gas tax is bad policy, in addition to ensuring the gas tax is providing long-term transportation funding. We couldn't have done it without the generous donations made to the VTCA PAC.
 
Last week, VTCA members Luck Stone and Shirley Contracting Company teamed up to host US House Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) on a quarry tour and visit to the long-awaited Route 7 Corridor Improvement Project in Northern Virginia.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has clarified their requirements for reporting of SWaM and DBE participants on consultant contracts. 
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District (Corps), has informed DEQ that it is prioritizing the review and evaluation of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Appropriation Act of 1899 permit applications.
