The 2016 “Consolidation Bill” enacted by the General Assembly combines the Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) existing statutory programs relating to soil erosion and sediment control and stormwater management. Through the stakeholder engagement process, DEQ has developed draft regulations to satisfy the requirements of Chapters 68 and 758.
DEQ is now seeking public comment on the draft VESMP Regulation. Anyone wishing to submit comments may do so through the Public Comment Forums feature of the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall website. Members of the public may also submit comments by mail, email or fax to Scott Van Der Hyde, P.O.
