Bill Collier Promoted

James Utterback, VDOT District Administrator for Hampton Roads announced the promotion of Bill Collier to Assistant District Administrator for Maintenance for the Hampton Roads District.  In this new capacity, Bill will be responsible for management and oversight of the Maintenance program in the Hampton Roads District.  
 
Bill has been with VDOT since 1994 starting as the Assistant District Equipment and Facilities Manager. Since then he has served in several roles of increased responsibility to include Facility Manager for the Elizabeth River Tunnel; Facility Manager for the Jamestown Scotland Ferry; Residency Administrator for the Norfolk Residency and currently, as Interstate Maintenance Office Manager.  Bill is a United States Naval Academy graduate and holds a BS degree in General Engineering.  He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Averett University.
 
Please join VAA in welcoming Bill to his new leadership role in the Hampton Roads District.  He will assume his new position effective May 10, 2017.
