Legislative Updates
House and Senate Release Base Budgets for the 2022-2023 Biennium
  
The second week of the legislative session was quiet with the House and Senate adjourned through Tuesday afternoon, January 26th. However, Senator Jane Nelson and Speaker Dade Phelan both began
the process of developing the 2022-2023 budget by releasing base budgets Thursday morning.
Bills to Watch
  
Legislators will return to Austin on Tuesday, January 26th, when they will reconvene at 1pm in the House and 3pm in the Senate. The House is expected to meet Tuesday and Wednesday before adjourning through February 2nd. The Senate may follow the same schedule.

Medical Gas Piping (Med Gas) Endorsement Training, Buda: 2/26/21 - 2/28/21 (K. Robinson)
This course is designed to fulfill the requirements of The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners Rules Sect 363.11(b). Specifically, "Before a Plumbing Inspector, Journeyman, or Master Plumber may qualify to take the Medical Gas Piping Installation endorsement examination, the applicant must complete a training program approved by the Board which pertains to subject matter applicable to the installation of medical gas piping systems" per the (NFPA) 99 Health Care Facilities Code.
Multipurpose Fire Sprinkler Endorsement Training SAN ANTONIO: 3/5 - 3/8, 2021 (Stricker)
This course is designed to fulfill the requirements of The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners Rules Section 363.11 (d). Specifically, "Before a Plumbing Inspector, Journeyman or Master Plumber may qualify to take the Multipurpose Residential Fire Protection Sprinkler System Inspector examination or Multipurpose Residential Fire Protection Sprinkler Specialist endorsement examination, the applicant must complete a training program which pertains to subject matter applicable to a multipurpose dwelling fire sprinkler system, as required by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 13D."
