The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) has appointed two new managers to enhance its new membership and government affairs efforts. TIA is North America's leading association for freight brokers and 3PLs, with more than 1,700 members.

TIA is pleased to welcome our new Manager of Government Affairs, Alexander Laska. Alex will be working with Vice President of Government Affairs Chris Burroughs to implement TIA’s policy and advocacy efforts, including coordinating TIA’s policy conferences and committees, monitoring Congressional and Federal agency activities, and representing TIA before Members of Congress and Federal agencies and in coalition activities.

Alex previously served on the Hill handling transportation and infrastructure issues for Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer, as well as working at the Eno Center for Transportation, a transportation policy shop in Washington, D.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political communication from The George Washington University and a master’s degree in public administration from The Maxwell School at Syracuse University.

TIA is also pleased to welcome our new Affinity Program Manager, Wendy Emerson. Wendy recently joined TIA as the Affinity Program Manager this October after working with the TIA Bond and Trust Program at Avalon.

"I’m excited about this opportunity to work with TIA  and help develop unique New Programs that’ll add value, provide savings and support for business success. Looking forward to working again with so many of you as we continue to strengthen and grow our TIA Membership footprint," said Emerson.
