A New and Improved Way to Donate to TIAPAC in 2019

In this time of giving, TIA is excited to announce that making contributions to the TIAPAC will be easier than ever with the implementation of an auto-draft feature beginning in January 2019. TIA members will be able to have their personal credit card auto drafted on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly basis, or whatever fits their budget.

TIA’s efforts on Capitol Hill are not possible without our bi-partisan Political Action Committee. TIAPAC enables TIA staff and TIA members to formulate key relationships with Members of Congress and their staff. It is comparable to taking that extra step with a potential shipper customer or a long-time customer: it takes a lot of time, energy and capital to win that business or build that relationship. TIAPAC is no different, but we need your support!

Donating just $100 a month is less than the cost of a Starbucks coffee a day. And by doing so, you will be doing your part to help protect your business and the 3PL industry from frivolous lawsuits, attempts to repeal tax reform law as well as labor concerns and many other issues that directly affect your bottom line.

TIA staff has already starting meeting with Members of Congress to implement a strategy for the National Hiring Standard. The National Hiring Standard will remain a top issue for the Association and we’ll have another opportunity when Congress begins work on reauthorizing the FAST Act (Highway Bill) in the 116th Congress. It doesn’t matter which party controls the House and Senate, TIA remains steadfast in support of improving our nation’s highways and roads and removing the confusion that currently exists in selecting a motor carrier.

Please join us in support of the National Hiring Standard, your industry, and your business by donating to TIAPAC. Contact Chris Burroughs, Senior Government Affairs Director, at burroughs@tianet.org for more information on how to donate.
