TONE News & Updates
By Erik Cazares MSN, RN
Healthcare leaders at all levels within their organizations are facing unprecedented challenges in their journeys to improve the patient experience of care, improve the health of populations and simultaneously decrease healthcare costs. The demands on healthcare organizations are now so intricate and complex that they require high functioning leadership teams to keep up with the pace. High performing organizations with efficient leadership teams appear to have one common factor propelling their success; high levels of trust.

Do you have a goal to take your quality and patient safety outcomes to the next level of performance? The Texas Hospital Association, in partnership with the American Hospital Association’s Health Research & Educational Trust, will be leading Texas hospitals who wish to participate in the newest health care improvement project, the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network. Supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the HIIN will support the improvement process and achievement to further reduce all-cause harm by 20 percent and readmissions by 12 percent.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has released a resource for nurse leaders, The Innovation Road Map: A Guide for Nurse Leaders. This guide was developed to help nurse leaders build a culture of innovation in their organizations. This guide is available to TONE Members in English and Spanish at the following links:
