Certifications
I currently have a Master of Arts degree and am working on my MBA, to be completed Dec. 2022. I am preparing to sit for my CLSS-HC and working towards my CHFM and my PMP as well.

How has TAHFM/ASHE contributed to your career?
TAHFM/ASHE has contributed to my career by allowing me the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals. It has opened up additional resources and pathways that have allowed me to become more proficient and knowledgeable in my profession.

Background into the field of healthcare facilities
I have been working in a Healthcare Facilities Management setting since 2017, holding several different positions in that time.

Personal Tidbit
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and still enjoy being outdoors. In my free time I enjoy going hiking, shooting, and swimming.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I think the biggest reward I receive from my job is knowing that I have made a difference in the patient care experience by providing a safe and quality environment for them to receive their care. We do not handle patient care, but without the facility, patient care would be very hard to accomplish. Oddly enough I also enjoy the consistent inconsistency that comes with Healthcare Facilities Management. I think that is the Emergency Manager in me, but it definitely keeps me on my toes.

What are your plans for future growth?
I plan to finish my MBA this year. I also plan to grow the TAHFM membership in Region 8 by offering valuable content to current members and future members via education and networking events. I think these two items will keep me busy for a little while. Eventually I would like to start teaching on the side because I enjoy sharing what I have learned with others.
