Safety Report:

1. Current OSHA focus is on heat illness prevention. If you have not done so already, go to OSHA.gov and download the free "Heat App" to help you identify dangerous heat conditions for your field employees. The site has good information on working safely in the heat.
2. As a reminder... a final rule went into effect on January 1, 2015 regarding reporting incidents.

All projects for the 2015 TxDOT / TXAPA Quality in Pavements awards program have been turned in. The committee will be meeting next week to review the nominated projects and assign an evaluation team to look at each project.
