In case you have not had the opportunity to participate in early voting in the constitutional amendment elections don’t forget to go to the polls on Tuesday November 5 to cast your vote. Among those amendments is Proposition 6, which would provide much needed financing for water infrastructure projects around the state (details on Proposition 6 below).

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has conducted a LCA of the environmental benefits of recycled asphalt shingles (RAS). Two years in the making, the EPA LCA measures the carbon footprint of RAS, along with reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and warm mix asphalt (WMA), in terms of greenhouse gas reduction.

The 2014 TXAPA Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled for January 6, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Town Lake Hotel in Austin, Texas. The Annual Membership Meeting is a one day event that begins with committee meetings.

The 2014 TXAPA Mid-Year Meeting has been scheduled for June 16-18, 2014 at The Greenbrier Hotel and Resort in West Virginia. This is the first time that TXAPA has headed east for a meeting and we have had some wonderful comments on the venue.
