TXAPA Scholarship Deadline April 10

The Texas Asphalt Pavement Association Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from Texas residents who are employees or dependents of TXAPA members, nominated by a University or recommended by a TxDOT representative. This year there will be a total of ten (10) scholarships available in the amount of $5,000 each distributed in $2,500 increments for the fall and spring semesters. Selection is based on academic performance, financial need and field of study with an emphasis on the asphalt and construction related degree programs.
TXAPA-SP is most interested in solid college student’s sophomore level and above who have demonstrated an interest in the asphalt and construction related field through their choice of summer or part-time employment. The grade point average is not significant as long as the student is solid and consistent. Each scholarship recipient is responsible for submitting their enrollment verification and GPA information each semester to keep their scholarship eligible for subsequent years for a maximum of three years.
The application form must be completed and returned to TXAPA by April 10, 2018. On April 17, 2018 the TXAPA Board of Directors will select scholarships recipients and notifications will be distributed immediately thereafter. All members are encouraged to distribute the scholarship application to their employees and dependents for consideration.
