Members of the SPFA Building Envelope Committee just completed a significant update of an existing TechDoc, SPFA-141 Spray Polyurethane Foam in Cathedralized Ceilings and Unvented (Conditioned) Attics.  This document addresses the application of SPF below sloped roof decks when insulating cathedralized ceilings and creating unvented attics.   The new document can be downloaded from the SPFA website here.  SPFA would like to acknowledge the help from the following volunteer members of the SPFA-141 task group:  Mac Sheldon of Sheldon Consulting, Roger Morrison of Deer Ridge Consulting, Henri Fennell of HC Fennell Consulting, Jim Andersen of JA Consulting and Steve Loftis of NCFI.

After adding more than 50,000 jobs in January alone, the construction industry shows no signs of slowing down. As more people join the workforce, our commitment to worker safety is even more important. Although falls from heights decreased from 2016 to 2017 according to BLS data, falls are still the leading cause of death in the construction industry – they can and should be prevented.
