SPFA News and Announcements
A task group within the SPFA Building Envelope Committee has recently updated SPFA-126, our TechDoc entitled “Thermal and Ignition Barriers for the SPF Industry.” The updates include references to the most recent version of the building codes as well as new test methods for alternative ignition barrier assemblies and references to IAPMO ES 1000 and ICC-1100 evaluation criteria for spray foam insulation. This document is widely used by architects, code officials, builders as well as SPF contractors to better understand fire protection requirements for SPF insulation. The latest version of SPFA-126 can be downloaded HERE at no cost.

SPFA has created a new document and webpage summarizing the impact of the new Inflation Reduction Act, signed in August 2022. The document and webpage explain the dramatically increased tax incentives for homeowners, builders and building owners to promote energy efficiency in both new and existing buildings.
