Recognizing the importance of local calibration and selection of design thresholds and reliability levels, this study provides information and evidence to support the need for local calibration of the MEPDG and careful consideration of design thresholds and reliability levels in the implementation process.
As part of the Pavement Economics Committee project to maintain and enhance the Balanced Mix Design (BMD) Resource Guide website, new videos have been added to the Performance Tests page. The new videos for Rapid Shear Rutting Test (IDEAL-RT) and High Temperature Indirect Tension (HT_IDT) were produced by the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) and you can access the videos by moving the mouse over the test image and clicking the play button. Visit the BMD Resource Guide to view the videos and get the latest information on implementation and mix design performance testing resources.

Even though perpetual pavements have existed around the U.S. for many years, road owners are just beginning to understand the long-term value provided by perpetual pavements. This webinar will feature three different award-winning perpetual pavement projects showcased and explained by the respective Department of Transportation and State Asphalt Pavement Association. This webinar is a great opportunity to learn why DOTs across the United States are choosing perpetual pavements to meet their needs and the demands of road users.
