Governor McMaster hosts Work Zone Safety Law Ceremonial Signing

On June 14, 2017, Governor Henry McMaster held a ceremonial signing for the Work Zone Safety Law at the SCDOT Aiken Maintenance Facility. Representatives from SCAPA were present to witness this occasion.
The Work Zone Safety Law passed this year after three years of debate. The bill increases penalties for speeding in a highway work zone. The funds raised from the penalties will go to pay for more SC Highway Patrolman on road construction projects.
