95th TRB Annual Meeting

SCAPA participated in the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. this month. Over 12,000 attendees from around the world traveled to the nation's capital for the event.
The meeting held over 800 sessions and workshops, including over 5,000 presentations, addressing current topics impacting all fields of transportation. Lots of relevant topics were covered at the meeting including: balanced and innovative design of asphalt mixes, performance testing, design of flexible pavements, thin overlays for pavement preservation, asphalt pavement rehabilitation strategies and a workshop tailored for discussing issues with open graded friction course (OGFC).
US Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx addressed a giant crowd about "The Road to Opportunity," and how transportation plays a vital role in connecting Americans and communities to economic opportunity.
