September is Suicide Prevention Month and with construction workers having the highest suicide rate of all industries, we wanted to highlight some resources available to you. We hope you will take the time to learn to recognize the signs and take action in your organization.

According to the Centers for Disease Prevention, construction occupations have the highest rate of suicide, as well as the highest number of suicides across all occupational groups. To combat these statistics, contractors, unions, associations, industry service providers and project owners must work together to STAND up for suicide prevention.
The Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention (CIASP) was born out of necessity in response to a statistics released in a CDC study ranking construction as the #1 industry for deaths by suicide.
