Highlights from the 2022 SCAPA Winter Conference & Trade Show Held in Columbia on February 9-10, 2022

 

The SCAPA Board of Directors and Staff would like to say "Thank You" for attending the 2022 SCAPA Winter Conference & Trade Show. We had a wonderful turnout for our first in-person Winter Conference since 2020, with over 500 attendees at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

The conference kicked off with a Trade Show Reception, featuring large equipment displays, 18 exhibitors, and 19 sponsors.

Thursday, February 10th included a full day of general and breakout sessions from asphalt industry experts, with three tracks to choose from and topics ranging from Cross-Slope Correction, NCAT Test Track, Workforce Employee Retention and more. General Sessions included Brad Putman's keynote "Let's Talk About Asphalt Pavements with Everyone" as well as important updates from SCDOT and FHWA.

Lunch included the annual Quality Pavement Awards. Congratulations go to the following SCAPA Members for being awarded a Quality Pavement Award: Banks Construction, Rogers Group Inc., and Sloan Construction Company. Also congratulations to the respective owners/owner's representatives of each project: ADC Engineering, SCDOT Districts 3 and 4.
