"The road to success is always under construction."

Dear SCAPA Members and Industry Partners:

I hope you all are doing well and getting ready to finish the paving season strong.

My first three months on the job have flown by. It's been great to reconnect with many of you, as well as getting to meet many of you at last week's Fall Member Dinner. The member dinner was a giant success:  we had close to 60 in attendance at the Palmetto Club and it was the first in-person member dinner since fall of 2019.

October marks the beginning of the new year for the association. Associate members will need to be on the lookout for FY22 dues invoices. In addition, we have a new slate of Executive Committee officers, which we'll highlight during the 2021-2023 term. Speaking of officers...

Thank You, Greg

I wanted to take a moment to thank Greg Sanders for his leadership in an unprecedented time. Thank you, Greg, for all of your efforts the past two years, and we look forward to having your experience and wisdom on the Executive Committee as our Immediate Past President.

Winter Conference

We are looking forward to a successful Winter Conference and encourage our members and industry partners to join us on February 9-10, 2022 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. The Conference Planning Committee met in September and have created a solid agenda for you all to enjoy.  Registration will launch in the next few weeks, and we are looking forward to a great event!

Quality Pavement Awards

Nominations for the SCAPA Quality Pavement Awards program are currently open, and we are excited to present these awards during the 2022 Winter Conference. We encourage contractors, consultants, and road owners to submit a project (or three) for consideration in this year’s program. I want to thank our Technical Director, Kimberly Lyons, and our judges in advance for their hard work in selecting the best the Palmetto State has to offer. Deadline for submission is Friday, November 5!
