CPHR Saskatchewan congratulates Saskatchewan Polytechnic on the accreditation of their Business Diploma in Human Resources. Graduates from April 2016 and onward are eligible to waive the NKE with an overall cumulative average of 70% or higher. This is CPHR Saskatchewan’s first program to become accredited! Join your fellow HR practitioners this fall for the 14th Annual CPHR Saskatchewan Conference, which will take place Sept. 29-30, 2020 in Saskatoon, Sask. Speaker proposals are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. If you are interested in speaking at the 2020 Conference or a 2020/2021 professional development event, click here to review the Speaker Proposal Guidelines and submit an online application. All members are encouraged to share this information with potential HR speakers in their networking circles. Speaker proposals for the 2020 Conference will be reviewed and evaluated in mid-May 2020. Submitted proposals remain "open" for a period of two years. Nominations are open for the HR Professional Awards! As we continue to elevate the human resources profession in Saskatchewan it is important to showcase outstanding human resource achievements and honour people who inspire exceptional people practices. The HR Professional Awards will be presented at the 14th Annual CPHR Saskatchewan Conference in Saskatoon on Sept. 29-30, 2020. Submit your nominations for Rising Star, Team of the Year and Distinguished Career Awards before Friday, June 26, 2020. Information regarding the CPD requirements, the online reporting system and the webinar recording can be found here. In March 2019, new educational pathways were announced along with the requirement that nine foundational HR courses will be required effective July 1, 2021 if a member does not have a degree with a major in human resources. The implementation date for the course requirement has changed to Jan. 1, 2022. This change allows a member without a degree majoring in human resources four opportunities to write the National Knowledge Exam. The Validation of Experience (VOE) Assessment is the final step in the process to become a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). There are four VOE intakes per year. The next submission deadline is March 31, 2020. For more information on the VOE requirement, click here.
