Focus Brands Inc. (“FBI”) and Jamba, Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which FBI will acquire Jamba for $13.00 per share in cash, in a transaction valued at approximately $200 million.

Pei Wei, which operates nearly 200 restaurants in 21 states, opened a new unit that will serve as a test for future openings. 

Protect-All Flooring

The IRS has added another regulatory challenge to the plate of issues restaurants deal with regarding the Affordable Care Act: a storm of tax notices for noncompliance of the law’s employer responsibility provisions.The notices, called 226-J letters, have been going out since November 2017. More are expected.
