A.Celli Partner Fitesa to Install Spunmelt Line at South Carolina Plant

A.Celli Nonwovens’ (Italy) long-time partner Fitesa (Brazil) has announced a new spunmelt line for its manufacturing facility in Simpsonville, S.C., USA.

"Following our release of information in August 2015 regarding capacity expansions in Europe, the U.S., and South America, Fitesa confirms that the new U.S. capacity will be installed at our plant site in Simpsonville, S.C. The state-of-the-art spunmelt line will have an annual nameplate capacity of 24,000 metric tons and will begin commercial operation in the second half of 2017."

Fitesa is a leader in the nonwoven fabrics industry, specializing in providing innovative fabrics for the hygiene, medical, and industrial markets. With executive offices in Gravatai, Brazil, and Simpsonville, S.C, the company has 11 manufacturing locations in eight different countries (U.S. – Simpsonville, S.C., Green Bay, Wis., and Washougal, Wash.; Italy – Milan; Sweden – Norrkoping; China – Tianjin; Germany – Peine; Mexico – San Jose Iturbide; and Brazil – Gravatai, Perù – Lima). A new manufacturing site in Cosmopolis, Brazil, will start up in the second quarter of 2016.

Fitesa is capable of providing spunmelt, carded, airlaid, and specialty fabrics for applications in baby care, feminine hygiene, and adult incontinence, as well as medical, agricultural, and industrial products.
