Corex, part of VPK Group, has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Arteche Paper, a leading producer of coreboard, cores and edge protectors in the Iberian market.

The fully automated high-bay warehouse solution is a part of Stora Enso’s EUR 1 billion investment to convert the remaining idle paper machine at the Group’s Oulu site in Finland into a high-volume consumer board production line. The warehouse is expected to be in operation in the spring of 2025.

GrandBay Papelera Internacional started up a double-width AHEAD 2.2L tissue machine supplied by Toscotec at its Rio Hondo Zacapa site in Guatemala. The new PM7 line will add over 60,000 tons to the mill’s annual production capacity.

Valmet to Supply a Coated Board Machine to Graphic Packaging International in the United States
Valmet will supply a coated board machine for Graphic Packaging International (GPI) in the United States. Valmet delivered a similar coated board machine to GPI’s Kalamazoo mill in 2022. The new machine will be supplied to GPI’s mill in Waco, Texas. The start-up of the machine is scheduled for early 2026.
 
Toscotec to Supply a Complete Packaging Paper Machine to INDEVCO Group in Greece
UNIPAKHELLAS, a member of INDEVCO Group, contracted with Toscotec for the supply of a complete paper production line to be installed at UNIPAKHELLAS Central (UHC) mill in Pelasgia, region of Fthiotida, Greece. UNIPAKHELLAS aims to produce high quality test liner and fluting grades to Greek and export markets. The paper machine is scheduled to start up soon.
