Panda Paper Mills (1997), a subsidiary of Israeli leading manufacturer Sano Enterprises, has selected Toscotec for the supply of a complete drying section rebuild of PM1 at their Netanya production facility in Israel.

Valmet has received a major order from Liansheng Pulp & Paper (Zhangzhou) in Fujian Province in China covering multiple technology deliveries for the customer’s Zhangpu site.

Containerboard/Packaging
The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has released the Q3 2023 Boxboard report on October 27. According to the report, total boxboard production in Q3 decreased 17% compared to Q3 2022.

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has released its Q3 2023 Containerboard Quarterly report. According to the report, total Containerboard production in the third quarter of 2023 decreased 1% when compared to Q3 2022 and was down 8% compared to the same 9 months last year.

UPM has appointed Massimo Reynaudo as President and CEO of UPM-Kymmene Corporation as of January 1, 2024. He will succeed Jussi Pesonen, who will continue as the President and CEO until December 31, 2023, after which he will work as an advisor to the company and its management until April 30, 2024, when he retires.

Stora Enso has appointed Ad Smit as Executive Vice President of the Packaging Solutions division and a member of the Group Leadership Team, effective December 1. He will replace David Ekberg, who leaves the position on November 30 to pursue new opportunities outside of Stora Enso.
