TAPPI’s Introduction to Pulp & Paper Technology Course (IPP) is set to begin January 8-11, 2024 in St. Petersburg, Florida. The course’s content is designed by course chair Dr. Michael J. Kocurek, one of the most recognized and honored educators in the industry. He is an author and professor emeritus of Paper Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University. Kocurek is an award-winning instructor and has presented pulp and paper courses for more than 50 years to thousands of students and professionals. He has overseen every one of the course’s offerings since 1974 and will once again be at the helm this January.

He will be joined by Thomas Holm, a global industry specialist who has taught introductory pulping courses in four continents and visited countless mills. Holm has authored several papers and presentations and is an author of widely available webinars that cover topics from pitch control to bleaching enzymes.

IPP’s Course Schedule offers continuously updated content, visuals and curriculum keeping pace with the industry’s changing conditions.  This is the most comprehensive introductory/intermediate course offering an overview of the entire pulping and papermaking process in only four days.

Group rates and early discounts are offered through December 15.
