PCA Retiring SVP/CFO West to be Replaced by Mundy

 

Packaging Corp. of America (PCA), Lake Forest, Ill., USA, has appointed Robert P. Mundy SVP and CFO, effective September 1. Mundy, who has been Verso Corp.’s (Memphis, Tenn.) SVP and CFO since 2006 (see article above), begins his employment with PCA on July 1, replacing Richard B. West (photo), who has served as CFO of PCA since 1999 and as SVP since March 2002. West (photo) will remain an employee of PCA in an advisory capacity through his planned retirement date of March 1, 2016.

 

Prior to his employment with Verso Corp., Mundy worked for more than 20 years with International Paper Co. (Memphis) in various positions. 

 

Mark W. Kowlzan, CEO of PCA, noted that "as a seasoned CFO with more than 30 years of financial and operating experience in the paper industry, Bob is ideally suited to become PCA's CFO and a key member of our executive management team. In addition," he added, "Bob and Rick have very similar backgrounds, having worked together for more than 10 years in various financial roles at International Paper."
