TAPPI is inviting professionals to join Working Groups for the review of active Technical Information Papers (TIPs). These meaningful volunteer opportunities are a great way to make an impact by ensuring the technical content reflects current technologies and industry best practices.

Whether you're a subject matter expert or someone looking to get more involved, we welcome your participation. Each Working Group focuses on one TIP and is responsible for reviewing and recommending updates or withdrawals. Most groups meet virtually and require only a few hours over the entire review period.

Upcoming TIPs in Need of Reviewers Include:

TIP 0402-13 Guidelines for specification and inspection of electric resistance welded (ERW) and seamless boiler tube for critical and non-critical service
TIP 0402-18 Ultrasonic testing (UT) for tube thickness in black liquor recovery boilers: Part I - Guidelines for accurate tube thickness testing; Part II - Default layouts for tube thickness surveys in various boiler zones
TIP 0404-20 Physical characterization of press fabrics: basis weight, air permeability, and pressure uniformity
TIP 0410-14 Generalized method for determining the pipe friction loss of flowing pulp suspensions
TIP 0502-20 Catalog of Stock Preparation Pilot Plants
TIP 1501-01 Industry 4.0 Lexicon
