If you’re planning to take the CMP exam in November, enroll in MPI Potomac Chapter’s preparation class this fall in Washington, D.C. The class gives students the skills and knowledge you need to succeed and is taught by facilitators who have passed the test. Our 11-week program provides a structured road map to study for the CMP exam, test taking tips, and access to subject matter experts who will present material based on the Convention Industry Council’s recommended textbooks. Career Opportunities
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to facilitate a training for a manager-level, all-female audience on Accelerating Your Career Potential. I was inspired by this group of high-performing women and came away with leadership lessons as I continue along my own career journey ...

It looks like the MPI Potomac Chapter got lucky. Our fabulous featured past president, Matt Wales, happened into our wonderful industry (or shall I say was drafted into our industry) by chance.

Matt says that his career at AACTE started out in Government Relations. Matt’s abilities and personality were a standout as his mentor, current Chief of Staff at AACTE, Gail Bozeman, recruited him to join the newly-created Meetings & Events team. "She felt like my skills and talents were the perfect fit for our new team, and I was ready to take on a new challenge in my career."
