ASCO Exhibits at AOA and NOA to Promote Eye Opener Sessions Program

ASCO staff were busy in June and July promoting the Eye Opener Sessions (EOS) program, in addition to the Optometry Gives Me Life campaign, at both the AOA in Minneapolis and NOA in Columbus. The staff gave away Eye Opener portable phone chargers, “Seymour” the Eye Guy pins, and stickers at Optometry’s Meeting.

The EOS program connects students who are curious about optometry with practicing eye doctors. The goal is to match Doctors of Optometry with prospective optometry students where they will engage in shadowing opportunities and/or virtual conversations. The level of engagement will be up to the matched optometrist and student. The program launched in the fall of 2023 and currently has over 230 optometrists and 800 students participating in the program.

To sign up for the EOS program, visit the www.eyeopenersessions.com website.
