Reed Receives SCO Honorary Degree
American Optometric Association President Dr. Steven Reed received the honorary Doctor of Ocular Science degree during Southern College of Optometry’s (SCO) annual commencement ceremonies in May. Dr. Reed, a 1995 SCO graduate, previously served on SCO’s Board of Trustees, including as Board chair. He is a former president of the Mississippi Optometric Association and active with his AOA leadership. Presenting the degree was Dr. Bart Campbell, SCO’s Vice President for Academic Affairs.
