The OCULUS Pentacam®

The OCULUS Pentacam® can capture up to 138,000 data points to create an accurate 3-D model of the cornea and anterior chamber. The data can then be exported to lens design software, such as the WAVE Contact Lens System, to create custom contact lens based on the patient’s topography. In many cases this can eliminate the need to use a trial lens set, reduce patient visits and increase the probability of first lens success.

The Pentacam® can capture up to 12mm in one scan, without the need for the patient to change fixation for complete corneal coverage. Data captured with the scheimpflug camera is tear-film independent, allowing for highly repeatable corneal topography maps when compared with industry standard placido disc devices.
